The big day is fast approaching and you’d like something a little more personal on the tables? Our personalised ribbon is perfect for adding a little thank you to your wedding guests. But how much ribbon do you need?
This answer to this question depends on what type of wedding favours you are having, here are a few suggestions and how to work out how much ribbon you will need…
A simple bow
A wedding favour tied with a simple bow is the easiest option. This could be a little alcohol miniature for the grown ups or a bag of sweets for the little ones. For this we would recommend around 50cm of ribbon per guest. So for 50 guests you would need 60 x 0.5 metres = 30 metres.
Our 10mm wide personalised wedding ribbon would be the perfect width for this as show in the image.

Little boxes
If your wedding favours are in little boxes to be tied like a present then you can use our simple formula to work out how much ribbon you need. Just make up one of the boxes and measure the length, width and height. Use the formula in our diagram to work out how much ribbon you need per guest and then times by the number of guests you will have.

Something more unique
If your wedding favours are a little more unique then the best way is to use a spare piece of string, wool or ribbon and mock up how you tie the ribbon on or around your wedding favour. Tie the string around the favour, cut to length, untie and then measure the length you need. Again, times this by the number of guests you will have to find the total length of ribbon needed.
(Please note that these are all estimations and we would recommend purchasing a little extra to allow for cutting.)
