How much ribbon do I need?

You have the perfect gift and want to make it all the more special by adding that finishing touch with some lovely personalised ribbon, but how much do you need?

There are a couple of ways to work this out…

If your gift is pretty square that we can use a little formula to work it out – don’t worry it is really simple. Just grab a tape measure or a ruler and measure the width, length and height of your present.

Then follow our little formula below to work out the length you need:

If you find this a little difficult or your gift has a bit more of a unique shape then take a piece of spare ribbon, string or wool and tie it around your gift as you would with the personalised ribbon. Cut it to size with the bow the size that you would like. Untie the string and then you can measure this to get the perfect length for your gift.
